Last week I took a field trip to G l o s t e r Outdoor Furniture's manufacturing and distribution center in New Boston Virginia.
G l o s t e r, which is based in the UK, is kicking off their 2013 offering. The G l o s t e r brand has been around since 1981 and has taken pride in their sustainably farmed teak. G l o s t e r in fact runs all of it's own sustainable farming and manufacturing of their teak and woven products in Indonesia. Today G l o s t e r is a worldwide leader in teak, aluminum and stainless steel outdoor furniture. I have always loved the G l o s t e r product and have been selling it to my Garden Studio clients for almost 10 years now. They have always offered what I consider a very fair price point for an incredibly well crafted product. And as I found out last week G l o s t e r is working harder on their design aesthetic and have a brand new marketing campaign to tell the world about it. I have included my favorites below, both new and old along with G l o s t e r ' s beautiful new marketing shots.
The Casa Collection below is one of my new favorites! It is sling material that is stretched around an aluminium frame.

The Asta line also has a great looking Chaise! |
G l o s t e r takes great pride in their superior packaging techniques! Their boxes are a thicker then their competitors so there is no disappointing breakage on delivery! |
This new collection is called Nomad and is trying to appeal to a fun and funky aesthetic. It also offers a lower price point. This lounge seating is lightweight and is meant to be moved around and reconfigured according to different social occasions. Whether it is used on a rooftop deck or a teenager's patio space it encourages informal hanging out.

Below are pictures of my tour of the G l o s t e r facility. I was able to see where they manufacture their cushions and pillows. I was really impressed with their incredible attention to detail.
I love this new chaise in the Solana line. Its brilliance is in the way it combines a teak frame with sling seat.
The Fusion line below has a stainless steel frame with sling seats and backs. It has a classic look while being fresh and new at the same time.
The Fusion Sling Folding Chair and Folding Table are perfect for a small deck or for extra seating that needs to be stored. |

And last but not least Gloster has re-tooled its Steamer Chair. This classic still looks great!
